The Rehabilitation Appliance Program helps veterans to be independent and self-reliant in their own homes. Health care assessments and the provision of aids and appliances help to minimise the impact of disabilities, enhance quality of life and maximise independence. RAP provides equipment according to each persons assessed clinical need as part of the overall management of their health care.
Veterans’ Home Care is a Department of Veterans Affairs program designed to assist veterans who need a small amount of practical help to continue living independently in their own home. Community nursing provides clinical nursing and/or personal care services to eligible veterans in their own home. Community nursing services can assist with medication, wound care, hygiene and help with showering or dressing.
